A Home Information Pack essentially contains all the legal documentation and a report on the condition and energy performance of your home written by a fully qualified home inspector who is licensed by a government approved scheme. The home inspector has a duty to provide an objective opinion about the condition of the property which the buyer, the seller and the buyer’s mortgage company can rely on and use. The aim of a home information pack is to simplify the home buying process by collecting all relevant information into one place.
